King James Version
Psalm 150
Culminating the entire book of Psalms in a grand climax of praise, this final chapter calls every living being to sound trumpets, psalteries, harps, timbrels, stringed instruments, organs, and clashing cymbals. Serving as the ultimate doxology of the five closing Hallel psalms (Psalms 146 through 150), it brings all one hundred and fifty songs to an uninhibited, joyful resolution. No barrier remains as sanctuary praise expands to fill the firmament. The immortal final key verse completes the Psalter: "Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD." (Psalm 150:6). The psalm leaves readers with a resonant message of life.
1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.
2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.
3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.
4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.
5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.
6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.
